FAIR COST OF CARE

£21 isn’t enough!

So the first indications of the Fair Cost of Care results are beginning to come through.

Leicestershire have just announced that the median response to the cost of care questionnaires comes out a price of £21 per hour.

Loads of questions stem from this.

First and foremost, it is nowhere near enough.

So how can this be?

Firstly, the sample responding may have been too low. Leicestershire admit that they and indeed other councils have had a poor response rate.

Is it possible that the firm used have “doctored” the figures. This is highly unlikely.

Most likely is that the questionnaire was flawed in the first place.
