What Will You Be Doing?

As a member of our care team, you’ll help people maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life in the comfort of their own homes. Your responsibilities may include:

Providing personal care and support to clients in the community
Administering medication in accordance with care plans, training, and relevant procedures
Preparing meals and supporting clients with their nutritional needs
Providing household assistance where required
Accompanying clients on shopping trips and supporting them with everyday activities
Accompanying clients to appointments when needed
Assisting with personal care, including dressing and bathing, while respecting each client’s dignity and preferences
Supporting clients with additional health conditions in line with their individual care plans and your training

Are you an experienced care professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and supporting others to thrive? Bloomsbury Home Care is looking for dedicated and motivated Deputy Team Leaders to join our growing teams.

This is a varied and rewarding role that combines hands-on care in the community with administrative responsibilities to help ensure our clients receive the highest standard of support. You’ll work closely with your team leader, helping to support colleagues, maintain quality standards, and ensure the smooth running of your team.

We’re looking for someone with previous experience in the care sector, a good understanding of Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations, and a genuine commitment to making a positive difference in people’s lives. What Will Your Role Involve?

As Deputy Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:

Providing care in the community and supporting clients to maintain their independence, dignity, and wellbeing
Supporting the day-to-day running of your team, helping to ensure services operate smoothly and effectively
Completing administrative duties to support accurate records and the effective coordination of care
Supporting quality and compliance, helping the team work in line with CQC requirements and relevant care standards
Assisting and supporting colleagues to promote a positive, professional, and supportive working environment
Undertaking on-call duties when your team leader is absent, with additional pay for this responsibility
Working alternate weekends as part of the role’s requirements

What Will Your Responsibilities Include?

As a Team Leader at Bloomsbury Home Care, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Providing care in the community to ensure clients receive compassionate, person-centred support
Coordinating face-to-face training to ensure your team maintains the knowledge and skills required to deliver high-quality care
Supporting new and existing colleagues through shadowing, helping them develop their skills and confidence
Completing monthly audits accurately and on time to maintain quality standards and support regulatory compliance
Processing monthly payroll and ensuring relevant information is accurate and submitted within required timescales
Planning and managing staff rotas to ensure appropriate staffing levels and continuity of care
Conducting supervisions and appraisals to support colleague wellbeing, performance, and professional development
Acting as the first point of contact for clients and members of your support team
Creating and reviewing client care plans, including comprehensive risk assessments tailored to individual needs
Liaising with external professionals and relevant organisations to coordinate care and promote positive outcomes for clients
Participating in an on-call rota to provide support and help maintain the smooth running of services when required

This varied role combines hands-on care, team leadership, administration, and quality assurance, offering the opportunity to make a difference to both the people you support and the colleagues you lead.
